The AMTA NC Chapter blog pages encourage 1 to 1 mentoring all massage therapists. When one graduates from massage school, it is only the beginning of everything you will learn about massage. Not everything you learn will be found in a class. A mentor can help with advice, a listening ear, and help with refining and evolving techniques. In this, our blog endeavors to teach about mentor agreements, role boundaries, coaching and helping one become well rounded massage therapist with a good eye for the business of massage. Here you will find articles on the value of a good mentor, how to be a good mentor seeking and finding good mentors, and being a mentor to others.
The AMTA NC blog recognizes that we live in an ever changing society and massage issues occur all around us. Here we seek to intelligently debate these issues, and find relevant answers when possible. We will work to change and improve the laws of local, state and National issues with regards to massage therapy.
The AMTA NC blog reports on our committee discussions, conventions, and board meetings. Here you can find up-to-date information on upcoming meetings, how you can volunteer, reports on meetings and board meetings and what was decided on your behalf. You can stay informed and send us your comments and input on the most relevant issues of the AMTA NC Chapter.
